As part of Channel 4’s special Stand Up To Cancer campaign, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, alongside a team of other celebrities, battled against a line up of past competitors from Child Genius.

In the special Celebrity Child Genius edition which aired on October 16th, Krishnan was joined by comedian Alan Carr, Countdown’s Rachel Riley and Irish comedian Aisling Bea to see who is the cleverest – university educated celebrities or some of the nation’s favourite and brightest children.

The teams fought it out over the hour-long show, hosted by Richard Osman, in spelling, memory, maths, general knowledge and specialist subject rounds. Krishnan went head to head with Eleanor who reads up to 100 books a month in the memory round, where they were tasked to memorise UK post codes in an hour – he was narrowly beaten. But he came back strong in the specialist subject round, answering 9 out of 10 questions correctly on a subject close to his heart – Chihuahuas. We’re sure his own Chihuahua, Chubby Chops would be very proud.

But did the full grown brains of Krishnan and the other celebrities prove strong enough to beat the Child Genius stars?! You’ll have to watch the full episode here to find out and see who was crowned Celebrity Child Genius champions all in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
