With Christmas just around the corner, Noel Gay theatrical clients are busy with their pantomimes and Christmas shows!
Our resident King of Panto is Morgan Brind, an award winning producer, writer, designer and panto Dame. This year he will be appearing as Auntie Hilda in Derby Arena’s Peter Pan and his company, Little Wolf Entertainment Ltd, are producing Peter Pan (Derby Arena), Jack and the Beanstalk (Loughborough Town Hall) and Robin Hood (Solihull’s Core Theatre) for the 2019/20 season.
Keeping it in the Midlands, Joss Wyre is appearing in The Prince and The Pauper (New Vic Theatre, Newcastle-under-Lyme) until 25th January, so you can keep that festive feeling going long into 2020. James Burton is keeping cool in Creation Theatre’s The Snow Queen in Oxford and Thomas van Langenberg can be found onstage at The Old Vic in Jack’s Thorne’s A Christmas Carol.
Red Riding Hood is a popular choice of pantomime this year for our actor-musicians Lara Lewis (All In Productions at The Workshop, Kings Lynn) and Ben Mabberley (Rock’n’Roll Panto, Leeds City Varieties). Jodie Micciche is doubling as Fairy Light and Fairy Midnight in Sleeping Beauty (Rhodes Arts Complex) and both Ruby Ablett (Sutton Coldfield Town Hall) and Duane Gooden (Theatre Royal Windsor) are appearing in the ever-popular Aladdin. Duane was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Great British Panto Awards 2019 for his performance as Widow Twankey in Aladdin at Catford Broadway.
Touring throughout December with Panto In A Day’s The Wizard of Oz is Geraint Rhys and Andrew Armfield is composing the music for and touring with Folksy Theatre’s The Elves and the Shoemaker across the UK.
