Kas Darley is joint Artistic Director of Teatro Vivo, an innovative, site specific theatre company, with whom she has worked since 2005. Inspired by classic stories and new writing, they make theatrical productions in any non-theatre venue.

She has most recently been part of Twistov with them, in association with Rich Mix in Shoreditch. Their current project is Access All Areas, in association with Soho House. She has performed with them in The Residents alongside Deptford Albany and developed Твистов (Twistov) with Dash Arts and Somerset House. Other work with Vivo includes Grimm Tales at the Watermill Theatre, Mother Courage and Her Children with GLYPT and After The Tempest on tour.

She is a highly accomplished improviser and deviser – she was part of 7 Last Words for Musical Compass, which was a devised collaboration between contemporary dancers, actors and musicians, and has devised in R&D processes for Marcelo Magni (Complicite), Stella Duffy (Improbable) and the RSC.

She is LAMDA trained, so also has a strong basis in traditional theatre, and is also a skilled musician (flute). Other work includes The Dacha with Tim Supple at Dash Arts, understudying Kristen Scott-Thomas and Lia Williams in Old Times and Blue at the Soho Theatre.
