Joanna appeared in The Apprentice (BBC1) in 2017 reaching the final five. At only 23, she was the youngest candidate on the show and achieved the best track record; winning 8 out of 10 tasks and being the only candidate to be Project Manager on two winning tasks.
Joanna is part of the panel on BBC Radio 5’s The Sista Collective. Featuring weekly discussions on a range of topics from hair and beauty to Black History Month, The Sista Collective is real talk by women of colour. Joining Joanna is BBC 5 Live journalist Jessie Aru-Phillips, Paula Akpan, co-founder of BlackGirlFest, and Team GB Olympic athlete Anyika Onuora as well as a special guest each episode.
As well as her degree in Politics, Joanna has a keen interest in fashion and beauty. Her business idea on the show was a women’s workwear brand which led Joanna to being featured by the Evening Standard as the go to person for “workwear inspiration”. Joanna regularly engages her 23,000 Instagram followers with outfit and lifestyle posts.
Joanna is also an advocate for women in business and is passionate about diversity and culture, young people and education. She has been a contributor on Good Morning Britain.
