Emily Murray is the founder and editor of award-winning interiors blog/brand/business The Pink House (pinkhouse.co.uk and @pinkhouseliving), and author of Pink House Living, a beautiful, inspirational and entertaining coffee table interiors book about decorating with pink, published in March 2019 by Ryland Peters & Small and written in Emily’s signature witty, engaging style.

 

Emily is an experienced lifestyle journalist, editor, stylist and public speaker, with a background in advertising, PR and stunt work, and an English Literature degree from Cambridge University. Emily launched The Pink House – a registered trademark, and a limited company – in March 2016, combining inspirational interiors, travel & lifestyle content with entertaining writing, beautiful photography and creative styling.

 

In 2016 The Pink House won the prestigious Amara Interior Blog Awards ‘Best Newcomer’ award and in 2017 the ‘Best Written Blog’ award. The Pink House’s Instagram account @pinkhouseliving has more than 70,000 followers and is regularly included in ‘top Instagram accounts to follow’ lists. The Sunday Telegraph’s Stella magazine named Emily as one of their ‘top 50 women to follow’ for 2018.

 

Emily has worked for such publications as Stylist, Grazia, Glamour, The Guardian, Conde Nast Traveller, Cosmopolitan, Mother & Baby, and various interior magazines. A former international gymnast, Emily spent her late 20s working as a sponsored freerunner/stuntwoman. During this time she starred in a Cannes-nominated short film, performed for Renault Formula 1 in their Paris showroom alongside Cirque du Soleil acrobats, and appeared as herself and as a stunt double in a parkour-themed TV ad for Canada’s Rogers Communications directed by Mike Christie, which debuted during the Superbowl. Nowadays she likes to do backflips on the beach, somersaults on her sofa and tricks on her home trapeze.

 

She is in demand for her public speaking skills – recently Emily has given talks at the John Lewis & Partners Conference, Facebook HQ, Soho House, Pinterest annual conference and Top Drawer’s Retail Fest at Olympia London.
