It is with great sadness that we report the death of Charles Armitage, brother to our CEO Alex.

Charles co-founded Noel Gay TV alongside producers Paul Jackson and Sir Bill Cotton as well as Noel Gay Motion Picture Company producing features including Killer Tongue, Pasty Faces, Dog Soldiers, Virtual Sexuality and Trainspotting. He also co-founded Grant Naylor productions, producers of Emmy Award-winning cult TV show, Red Dwarf.

Charles started his career in the music industry in New York, working as an executive and manager throughout the 1970s with clients including the Tony Macaulay, the multi Ivor Novello Award-winning writer and producer. In the 1980s he moved into musical theatre, co-producing the Tony and Ivor Novello award-winning musical Me & My Girl, alongside Alex, in the West End, on Broadway and worldwide.

Our thoughts and love are with his mother Caroline, wife Lesley and daughter Grace.
