Laurence has written extensively for radio and television.
He has created two acclaimed Radio 4 sitcoms: Rigor Mortis, starring Peter Davison, which ran for three series and Safety Catch, the everyday story of a reluctant arms dealer starring Darren Boyd, which garnered praise and controversy in equal measure when it debuted in 2007 and with its second series in 2009.
Laurence is developing a TV version of the show with the BBC.

He is also the main writer for his double-act Laurence & Gus, who have made three series for Radio 4 (with a fourth to follow in summer 2009) as well as creating several acclaimed Edinburgh festival shows.
He is head writer and script editor on Look Away Now (Radio 4), the sports comedy show hosted by Garry Richardson and also wrote for the multi-award-winning That Mitchell and Webb Sound and The Sunday Format(Radio 4).
Laurence’s TV writing credits include The Armstrong and Miller Show (BBC1), The Omid Djalili Show (BBC1) and Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression (BBC1)
Laurence won the British Comedy Award and the Sony Gold Award as one of the head writers of Dead Ringers (Radio 4) and he also wrote for the show when it transferred to BBC2.
